There’s nothing better than a little danger dashed with some romance.
Stalking Jack the Ripper (Stalking Jack the Ripper # 1)
Kerri Maniscalco
Summary: Seventeen-year-old Audrey Rose Wadsworth was born a lord's daughter, with a life of wealth and privilege stretched out before her. But between the social teas and silk dress fittings, she leads a forbidden secret life.
Against her stern father's wishes and society's expectations, Audrey often slips away to her uncle's laboratory to study the gruesome practice of forensic medicine. When her work on a string of savagely killed corpses drags Audrey into the investigation of a serial murderer, her search for answers brings her close to her own sheltered world.
My Review: Well, I'm going to be fangirling over this series for a while. I immediately started book two after finishing book one and am already a few chapters in. If you’re looking for a great spooky season read, I cannot recommend this feminist, (mostly) historically accurate, amazing book enough. It has photos from the time period woven throughout and a romantic hero that I just adored. The writing was completely on point, and the overall mystery had me on the edge of my seat. I loved it.
